About Matt

Matt Trafis was elected to Council at Large at the age of 29. Matt is a graduate of Saint Ignatius High School and Capital University in Columbus. He co-owns and manages Blue Streak Strategies, a marketing and advertising firm and lives on Orchardview Road.

Staying true to his campaign promises, during Matt's first term on City Council he has made proposals of expense reductions and revenue enhancements that would equate to a net gain of approximately $600,000 for the City. Although his colleagues on Council have not acted on any of the proposals, he continues to be a watchdog of City finances and is certainly not the status quo.

Currently, Matt serves as the Chairman of the Planning, Zoning, & Economic Development Committee and member of the Safety Committee and Public Works Committee.

In his free time, Matt coaches a Seven Hills boys baseball team, has coached a Saint Columbkille boys basketball team, is a member of the Saint Columbkille Holy Name Society and is involved in numerous other organizations.
